Left in The Dark Remastered and new vocal…..

by Andrew on Sep.19, 2009, under Songs

Recently taking a lot of time out to master the 2nd Bruce Springsteen tribute cd (almost done, I promise!) I was pleased with some of the results I got, hence I thought it was worth to see what I could do mastering some of my older music. The Jim Steinman fan album submission I made in late 2006/early 2007 always lacked a bit of grand full sound I was trying to create. I felt the orchestra and drums were slightly underpowered. Well what a bit of mastering can do. It took me just around an hour to get this right…. The new vocal was recorded earlier this year but not used till now.

Maet Loaf Live @ The Robin, Saturday 30th May 2009

by Andrew on May.31, 2009, under Concerts, Videos

I attended yesterday’s gig of the Meat Loaf tribute band Maet Loaf at The Robin in Bilston, Wolverhampton. A great show by the band and a great packed venue. Highlight for me were great renditions of “What about Love?” and “I’d do Anything For Love (But I Won’t do That)”. The latter probably the best version I have heard from the band partly due to their new drummer who follows what’s on the original songs pretty acurately.

Caught almost an hour on the camcorder so here are the vids uploaded to YouTube. Don’t forget to hit the HQ button if you have a fast connection, it’s worth it!
